Traditions play a major part in the celebration of Christmas in Mississippi. Since 1972 people of all ages have enjoyed the O gauge train layout operated by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History. The town of Possum Ridge depicts a Mississippi Delta railroad town during the 1940’s. The layout features Lionel and MTH trains . The display is located in the William Winter Archives Building in Jackson and operates during the month of December. |
